79th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp
Saturday 27 January 2024 marks the 79th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp, an event that also marks the International Day of Commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust and for the prevention of crimes against humanity.
Against a backdrop of growing anti-Semitism, let us never forget the 6 million victims of Nazi barbarism, and let us stand firm for the values of humanity inherited from the victims and survivors of the concentration and extermination camps.
